Heritage Series - The Punjabi year

rEAD NOW - Harh

Summer bids its farewell in the north. Winter deepens in the south.

Harh is the peak of summer, bringing sweltering days to Punjab’s fields.

Farmers rise with the dawn, working tirelessly in the cool of the early morning, tending to their crops before the heat becomes unbearable.

The fields thrive under their care, despite the scorching sun.

Inspired by a story I once heard about Punjabi Nanakshahi coins, where a leaf symbolising abundance and prosperity was detailed on each coin after The Chalisa Famine of 1783.

The leaves in this logo reflect that same belief - abundance and prosperity to Punjab. For as long as we share the stories that build our heritage, Punjab will thrive.

Punjabi history - A journey through time

To endure with the strength of the five rivers.
To stand tall like fields of ripe crops. To speak with the pride of those who came before us. To carry Punjab in heart and mind.
To live with Punjab in the soul.
