About
The TrishSaab Blog
Welcome to my corner of the internet, where we celebrate the stories, traditions, and heritage that shape Punjab! This is more than just a blog - it's a bridge connecting the richness of our past with today’s global audience.
My mission is simple - to share the stories and traditions of Punjab without barriers. This is a resource created with passion, because I believe that learning should be free, open, and welcoming for all.
As one of the few voices in the Punjabi heritage and lifestyle niche, I am dedicated to telling and retelling the stories of our past while documenting the present as it unfolds - immortalising the essence of Punjabi heritage in the digital world.
Being from Punjab myself, everything I know has been shaped by this heritage and heavily influenced by the lessons and stories of the past. I am eternally grateful that you’ve taken the time to share these stories, and welcome you into my world.
Warmly, TrishSaab
The Motive
This blog is designed for anyone with an interest in Punjab, and exists with the goal of being an inclusive, accessible space – whether you’re just beginning your journey or have been learning for years.
In Punjab, storytelling isn’t just a tradition - it’s the thread that binds us to our past, keeping our history, culture, and lifestyle alive. Through this blog, I hope to make the stories of Punjab come alive for people around the world. Whether it's through the tales of our warriors, the songs of our poets, or the everyday stories that shape our lives, storytelling connects us to something bigger, something timeless.
This blog is created to share the knowledge and stories that took me years to uncover. Let’s explore the stories of Punjab together and carry forward the legacy of those who came before us, with the understanding that what we share today is a gift for generations to come.
The story behind the name
Circa 2012. A joke between 4 cousins - Trish, Sarah, Jacob, and George - code names covering their real identities to see who’d go the most unnoticed.
Fast forward 2018. Adding the suffix “Saab” - a Punjabi term used to honour elders, respected individuals, or show politeness. The beginning of TrishSaab - the only nickname that survived the past five years.
Sometime in 2021. A private Instagram account with TrishSaab and her closest friends is born.
2024. With a little free time and just enough passion, the TrishSaabBlog shares all the things not enough people talk about. The beauty behind the Punjabi heritage, and a little bit about lifestyle.
